RE:RE:Why is sp dropping? Sp is dropping because it's just what this stock does , and has done for the last four years.
It goes up mrginally on any good news , and then drifts back to previous lows while investors wait for more news , which is usually a long time in coming.
IMO , sp has little to do with WLCs sp , the deal has not gone thru yet , it depends on how investors vote , it also depends on if someone else makes a better offer , which is still possible , but doubtful.
I knew the current magaement would sell at the first opportunity , I am very interested to see how Magna votes.
Someone mentioned in an earlier post that LACs sp would forever be linked to WLCs sp from now on , but in reality , if the merger goes thru , LAC shares will no longer exist and investors will then own shares of the parent company , WLC , however , they will own approximately 20% less shares , as the deal is structured at .789/1 , WLC/LAC.
We should have news of the POSCO deal before the merger happens , assuming it does , and that may make things a little more interesting , considering sp and other possible offers.
In any case , new management can only be good for LAC , as we have been going nowhere for 4 years now with the current clowns.
WLC has done a good job of keeping their sp in the .50 to .85 cent range in the past two years , even though they have a resource that is probably worth 20 times less than LACs , and still haven't figured out a way to economically extract lithium from clay.
LACs share price is just doing what it has always done , there may be some surprises in store for LAC investors yet , and if the merger happens , it can only be good for LAC , and WLC as well.
