Reverse split

Reverse splitJust got back from vacation and I see that it did a reverse split. Before I left (end of June) it was trading at 0.55$ on my 2000 shares. When I got back, its at 0.48$ and my shares decrease by 1/3 to 666 and my equity went down. How come?
