last new diamond mine in Canada?It is looking like Chidliak may be the last new diamond mine in Canada for a very long time.
Gahcho and Renard are in production.
KDI might end up being a feeder pipe to Gahcho at the end of it's mine life. (a decade+ away).
Chidliak next to be in production.
SGF is dead in the water.
Everything else is leaps early in the exploration cycle and won't pan out to be any mine for maybe a decade or more. Including places like Pikoo.
IMO, the best opportunity for new economic pipes is sitting in the wealth of claims at Chidliak itself...those won't be new diamonds mines...but extended mine life projects.
