Bodtke adds that “adding right ventricular volume analysis to a routine echocardiogram on hospital admission may reduce a length of hospital stay for cardiac patients by over half a day (average stay is 4.5 days). “This alone would be a major step forward to reducing the estimated $17-billion a year of avoidable cardiac care expenses in the U.S.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      I wonder if this statement has anything to do with the data collected at the Montefiore study ??
