instructions for calculating weighted average gradeHere is how to calculate weighted average grade for a zone:
1. for each assay, multiply the reported grade x interval.
ie. from page 11 of NXE presentation, for Zone A2, for drill hole AR-15-34B,
multiply 2.2% x 70m
2. do this calculation for each drill hold assay interval listed
3. add up all the grade x interval #'s
4. add up all the intervals
5. divide grade x interval / by intervals and this gives a weighted average grade for the zone.
To calculate pounds of uranium:
1. from page 13 of presentation, calculate average true width, and multiply by strike length and vertical extent to get # of cubic meters.
2. (# of m3)(2.6 tonnes/m3 rock density)(% weighted average grade)(2200 pounds/tonne).
and now you have a good idea of how many pounds of U3O8 are in zones A2 and A3.....
