RE:Buying opportunity or catching a falling knife?

RE:Buying opportunity or catching a falling knife? Two cents...the sky isn't falling...it's a buying opportunity.  Too much resource-specific infrastructure in place to warrant any huge shifts in energy production like you're suggesting.  It's all rhetoric, there is not enough fundamental demand for alternatives to disrupt hydrocarbons.

If hydrocarbons couldn't support energy demands either through price or scarcity, I'd agree.  This is a rocky patch, and a good chance to hop onboard for some long-term growth on the back of a clean balance sheet.

If you're looking to get out of PPY in the next few years it's hard to say with certainty what the price will be, but if you're comfortable sitting longer, I can't even imagine 40k boe/d at this price and said target is a year away.  We will return to former highs but it won't happen overnight.  Lots of uncertainty to sort out before then.
