RE:RE:RE:ARK88, no problem, I'm just a little There are hints of all of these items in the works:
Partnership with GF - New CEO is from GF, Co-Chairman from GF
Synopsys - currently working on PDK's for Poet, so that one is in the bag. Question is who is paying Synopsys for the work? There has been nothing in Poet's financials that indicate Poet is paying Synopsys, so that means the work is probably being paid for by a future Poet customer...
Apple - Tony Blevins, need we say more?
When the formal announcements come, they will present the world a development alliance with all of these items formalized. An equity infusion will be part of it, I have no doubt.

It would be good to see a working (independently verified) prototype below 40 nm, and a cash equity infusuion of $50MM to $100MM from these strategic partners. Anything less than that and POET will still be dreaming of a future that is more fantasy than reality.
This is a bit harsh, but this is the chip business we are talking about here. Intel, IBM, Samsung and others spend billions on R&D and have strong ownership of the manufacturing process. If you are going to commercialize a chip to disrupt them then you better have a magical, working prototype, tens of millions of dollars stashed in the bank, household names as partners and customers, and a rockstar management team.
I will give POET that last one. Good hires for the management team, but they need to put their heads down, roll their sleeves up and produce. The stock price isn't going anywhere unless some or all of the other items above happen.
