people rushing to get their bets in or did word leak of a deal in ink?  who knows.  it is odd to me that people would have waited to bet on the deal at the very last minute when they had all week to buy in with much less competition.  i made my double-down bet earlier this week so at this point I am rooting big time for a deal so I can get out of Nigeria with some money in my pockets.  i dont think i'm investing in anything operating in nigeria ever again after this saga.
