Is the NDP Socialist?

Is the NDP Socialist?
Roscoe says what many who do not understand politics say. He says the LNG plant approval for PETRONAS which was announced yesterday will not happen due to a possible socialist federal government. I know the Conservatives are to the right of the other parties but every political party in Canada has been socialist for decades. The NDP have decades of running provincial government and have been an important federal presence before. They are green and job friendly but they know private enterprise is the engine of every economy and are already getting high marks from major oil companies in Alberta. The Liberal BC government knows they have a tiger by the tail in LNG if they can get Prince Rupert and Kitimat going. Kitimat will be exporting LNG in a bigger way very soon and Altagas is already there with a pipeline and all approvals in place. The PC party won't stand in the way of green gas projects they have already said they are on board with. It would make the NDP look better if they did. Then the NDP can say the PC party is anti-jobs and Green and should take the word Progressive out of their party name.
