I think you are mistaking the wcb blasting regs with the ministry of energys regs that actually have jurisdiction in BC ug mines. HSRC 8,:3.5 is clear about allowing tape fuse use and HSRC 8:6.18 talks about the distance radio transmitters can be to any connected electrical blast line, 20 meters. Now I can't say how close the drone did or may have flown if he wanted to but I'm sure he could have come within 20 meters of the Portal where they likely would have initiated it electrically. Nuff said "miningman".
