RE:RE:IIROC Trading Halt MXI.V August 5 @ 4pm IamGold Q2 Report ?!I was thinking just IamGold buying out Merrex to own it fully. Such announcements often happen at Quarter Reports. They package that in with all other news on Q2 and Conference Call to answer questions. It can absolutely happen at close this Wednesday of IMG Q2 Report. As we all mentioned in a few posts a while back... even if a company like Rangold were to buy IamGold out... it would be very hush hush and no one would no about but the key executives. If such interest is out there and was given behind the scenes... they most likely would have told IamGold to hurry up and wrap up buying out the remainder or Merrex Gold. Then later they could buy IamGold which would own all Merrex at that point. But even if no one buys IamGold... IamGold desperately needs high quality AISC ounce locations at this gold price and they desperately need to clear up some of the fear of "what will they do with at least a portion of their new large cash reserves". A quick buyout of Merrex right now would do wonders for investor confidence to drive IMG's stock price up now. If I were the CEO of IamGold... I'd be buying Merrex Gold up ASAP... theres enough drill reults that could probability estimations can be made... especially since its all part of the fault line of existing mines up north. My point being... anyone selling MXI is crazy! A buyout can happen anytime soon!
