Reread of yesterday's earnings release from NLN

Reread of yesterday's earnings release from NLNSo I went back and reread the official earnings release from NLN, on its quarterly financials, just to review whether in fact I had missed something.

Again, no mention of possible customer attrition.

Furthermore, in the section of the release labeled "Second Quarter Operational Highlights",  the following bullet point would suggest no problems with the NHL contract:

  • Powered World Congress Live, the digital extension of the Sports Business Journal IMG World Congress of Sports event that gives viewers access to exclusive interviews from executives across the sports media landscape,  including the NHL, the United States Olympic Committee, Adidas and others.

I really hope that IIROC is taking a serious look at the misleading communication from the Investor Relation department at Neulion.

I realize that some posters on Stockhouse started to hint at the possibility of an NHL cancellation on yesterday's blogs... but given the reputation of Stockhouse as a place where vultures will spread lies and misinformation, I think investors could be forgiven for placing more trust in the official news release provided from Neulion versus speculative posts from Stockhouse, where shorters smelling blood have a reputation for spreading lies and misinformation.  Ironically, this time, it turns out the vultures were right... but how did they get the information before the general public?
