The NCIB news release was published on May 8, with the closing SP on May 7 at $16.54. AVO has closed six consecutive trading days below that value...now more than a full dollar below it. No NCIB and a pretty modest 3000-share purchase is all that has come during that period. Perhaps not tragic, but definitely discouraging. It may be time to sell some more call options against my position. I hate to do it at this level, but considering this inaction, and no real traction for AVO from the market, even amidst a continually decreasing CAD, I don't see any potential catalyst prior to November. I'm still bullish in the medium-to-long term, but with their continued investment to drive growth, and the potential overhang of tax-loss selling in November and December, I'm more and more inclined to think AVO is a 2016 or even 2017 story (unless the market starts viewing it like AMZN or NFLX).
