Don't forget the CEO, CFO, VP Operations, well basically most of the SVL Directors are all getting up there in age. They have been playing the game for a long time now and I think they have just had enough and aren't willing to wait around for PM prices to rebound. They will all make a ton of cash anyways, and it's not like they buy shares like you and I.
As for the deal not going through, I wouldn't bet on that not happening. We have all seen the results of Annual SH meetings, everything gets approved because shareholders can't be bothered to vote. If this deal goes to a vote, it will pass.
Personally, I hope the deal gets squashed as $1.30 per share is way to little for this company and I want to make some of my money back before FM takes over. They need to renegotiate this deal.
