let me interject realsgctruthman
Eritrea and Ethiopia. This is the key to the reopening of the embassy. You will recall this started over economic differences. Eritrea issuing their own currency without warning to Ethiopia. Ethiopia responded, after much consultation to no avail from Eritrea , by declaring their trade will now be in USD's.
Their are issues of terrorism, the Red Sea, and access to ports.Too many to get involved in here. It is very complicated.There are also many many untruths floating in the Western media that complicate sifting through the propoganda.One thing I can tell you with certainty.The Eritrea PEOPLE do not wish the US there. They receive no food, nor oil, nor any other benefit from the USA.The Ethiopians received far more benefit from the Eritrean's than vice versa.Again , some will argue that point ,but years of experience with the people show me this is so.
The opening of the embassy has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with commodities, minerals or the pilfering of such assets.Naturally, this can develop in the future, but for now it is about political foot holds in the region.The Eritreans have a deep seated memory for the wrongs they feel were committed against them by the Ethiopians, the U.S.A, the U.N.,ect.But amazing as it may seem, they hold no grudges.They are a live, let live people, with an attitude of "Let us determine" our own future.Human rights issue's are another matter, subject for another day.
I will interject that Nevsun, SGC(NF) and a host of other companies developing their assets in Eritrea are good for the country and the growth and evolution of its people. I'm proud to have my money in a company that will truly make a difference in the lives of a people far less off than me or my companions. I'm truly proud of Hopley, Davis and team SGC(NF).
At this point it has nothing to do with fear from Western nations of Chinese footholds in the region. The Horn of Africa is well covered.
What does the embassy opening have to do with SGC(NF). Nothing at this point.A U.S.A. presence is more to facilitate the movement of their citizens than some nefarious scheme to grab resources.That can evolve but we will be long gone by then I presume.
youve covered a topic with many shooting arrows.the parts are more interrelated than a boeing 787-9 dreamliner.magnificent yet discovering the inner workings could take you a life time.lets examine a little more what is becoming of eritrea.if you know your history what is plainly evident to all who reside here are the financings that the usa along with russia used to defeat the eritreans in the war.they failed.was arab money involved as well.some say yes some say no.elpf was a truly extraordinary organisation. self reliance was part of its core ideology as it had no support from foreigners it had to depend on itself on its people. arab money has no bearing & is completely false to the contrary it was osama binladins arab money when he was in sudan that was financing & supporting terrorists to attack the newly independent eritrea. but this was swiftly dealt with by the eritrean security forces. while ethiopians are free to fantasize about eritrea & its ports but in reality there is nothing ethiopia the country can do about eritreas Independence. the only road to peace in the hoa in ethiopias territorial ambitions will only result in the complete disintegration of ethiopia into smaller separate states which no one wants see. peace is needed in africa especially in the horn of africa.hence the obama administrations decision to hasten the embassy reopening.no one in eritrea welcomes it.naturally this will evolve.the usa pr machine is in full swing .this is a politically charged event.there is much more to come.
sgcrealtruthman you opened with eritrea and ethiopia being the key to this event.that statement is equivalent to swearing on a bible.
