DR Congo recorded an annual increase of 30 000 tonnes of copper production

(Ecofin Agency) - The production of copper from the Congo has reached over 265 000 tonnes between January and March 2015, according to the report of the Chamber of Mines of the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC) on trends the production of various ores published May 19

It marks an increase of 30,000 tonnes compared to 2014, the report indicates that the mining industry in the DRC has suffered from the general decline in prices, particularly for its main sources of income of export.

DR Congo has great mining potential that is rushing a variety of exploration and production companies including Mawson West, with an exploration area of approximately 7300 km2 and Tiger Resources Ltd. which holds, in Katanga province, Kipoi Project covers 55 km2 with five deposits.
