RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:simply fantastic news@Pieper. Well everything you say is a valid point. No question about it. However. If I was to go into retail. I would not try and be GE on day one. Perhaps a manufacturer of the very best coffee maker in the world (like they were with cameras 3-4 years ago) and focus on capturing that market. If I did well and made the money and developed the contacts, I would think of taking my unique expertise and go onto selling the best toaster etc. Baby steps. Always the best product but baby steps. (At least with my money, anyways) I believe they went to fast. Imagine if they had all that purchase cash AND the money from the effort they spent on selling and supporting the other products! What would that do to their current bottom line? I think it would look very good indeed. Profitability is after all one of the things that people on this board are always talking about.
