PGD has 3.24 million tonnes at 2.58 carats per tonne valued at $213 per carat for value in the ground of $1.82 billion. KDI 12 million tonnes at a 2 carats per tonne. If the value is the same as Gaucho ($150 per carat) they'd have value in the ground of $3.6 billion. So 2X the value of PDG. KDI is on the doorstep of Gaucho so will likely cost about $600 million to build. PGD is at the far end of Baffin so will likely cost $1 billion to build. De Beers exited the PGD option within months of KDI's first results. I reckon they know what they're doing.
