To reiterate what brrwhip said, today's spot price is largely irrelevant to copper producers preparing 1 year, 5 year, and life-of-mine plans. I suppose, Krud, that's why I saw that Rio Tinto has an entire professionally staffed economics department the last time I visited their London head office.
