Is Gold Manipulated?-Mish Shedlock

Is Gold Manipulated?-Mish Shedlock

For those interested, here is another point of view on gold manipulation.

https://globaleconomicanalysis.blogspot.com/2015/08/reader-question-is-gold-manipulated.html

As I have posted before, I have no doubt that all futures markets are sometimes gamed by big players with deep pockets.

However, I do not believe that this can succeed in making major trend changes in prices.

The price may be pushed by tens of dollars, but I doubt, very much, that price can be moved hundreds of dollars by manipulation.

What I have noticed is that some analysts claim market manipulation to explain their poor forecasting abilities.

Each of us has to decide for themselves the risk of manipulation they face.

I have no interest in convincing those who believe in massive manipulation, but I think that they should consider the possibility that they have exaggerated notions regarding this.
