Fuelcell Energy Inc FCEL

FuelCell Energy, Inc. is engaged in delivering environmentally responsible distributed baseload energy platform solutions through its fuel cell technology. The Company is a global manufacturer of stationary fuel cell and electrolysis platforms that decarbonize power and produce hydrogen. Its commercial technology produces electricity, heat, hydrogen, and water while separating carbon for utilization and/or sequestration. Its product portfolio is based on two electrochemical platforms, carbonate, and solid oxide. Both platforms can support power generation and combined heat and power applications using a variety of fuels, including natural gas, renewable biogas, and hydrogen. Its Carbonate platforms use a mixture of reforming and electrolysis, while solid oxide platforms can be used for pure hydrogen electrolysis. Its solid oxide platform operates on pure hydrogen fuel. Its commercial platforms include SureSource 1500, SureSource 3000, SureSource 4000 and SureSource Hydrogen.

Fuel Cells for Wastewater Treatment Plants Webinar 09/09/15

Fuel Cells for Wastewater Treatment Plants Webinar 09/09/15Resilient Power Project: Drinking water systems and wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) account for three to four percent of electricity used in the United States. WWTPs are critical facilities that typically operate 24/7, and may be able to use the thermal energy byproduct from a fuel cell to process fats, oils, and grease. Digester gas produced at WWTPs contains roughly 60 percent methane and can serve as a fuel to power fuel cells. WWTPs with an anaerobic digester present an opportunity to capture and use methane emissions created from their operations to produce and utilize clean renewable energy. Webinar participants will learn how fuel cells convert municipal waste challenges into ultra-clean energy solutions. Presenters will include representatives from FuelCell Energy Inc., the Riverside Water Quality Control Plant (RWQCP) located in Riverside, California, and the Orange County Sanitation District.

This is the second in a series of three webinars on hydrogen and fuel cells for resilient power. This webinar series is a presentation of Clean Energy Group's Resilient Power Project and the Northeast Electrochemical Energy Storage Cluster (NEESC).
