DEFINITION of 'Insider' A director or senior officer of a company, as well as any person or entity that beneficially owns more than 10% of a company's voting shares.




It is not I that doesn't have a clue to the term "Insider". If you read check out the explanation a tad deeper, you will realize that the SEC definition, which Yahoo is referring to, is a catch all term concerning illegal insider trading investigations!
