RE:Rising slowly but surely

RE:Rising slowly but surelyI doubt it's due to short selling. Aguably, the stock has outperformed most stocks since the market volatility struck. Most of the short position on Element is arbitrage against the convertible debentures and, until just recently, the subscription receipts. The sub receipts have subsequently been converted on closing of the GE fleet deal, so a drop in shorts should be seen in upcoming short reports. So, the shorts on Element are by and large "structural" versus "strategic". more importantly, the company has been attracting more large funds out of the U.S. as its market cap has grown to one ($7B) that allows them to participate. More of that is coming.
