Highlights: Arrow Looking Like The Core Of Exciting New Play: While Fission’s Triple R was the first discovery in the new Southwest Athabasca camp,
we believe that ultimately it will be NexGen’s Arrow deposit that emerges as the dominant resource. Arrow straddles the Athabasca basin/sediment contact and
this location opens up the potential to discover basement-hosted, unconformity-hosted and sandstone-hosted mineralization. We also believe that the majors have a bias toward assets located within the basin and NexGen geologists believe that
mineralizing fluid is sourced from both sandstone and the basement allowing more intense mineralization to develop at the contact. Finally, recall that the Arrow discovery represents a tiny portion of an ~7 km trend (along with additional parallel trends) which demonstrate a geophysical signature on par with that used to target Arrow and have yet to be fully evaluated.
My comments: Confirms that Arrow is in a class of its own and explains why mgmt has politely squashed any suggestions regarding a takeover of Triple R. Long-Term Macro Is Compelling But Not Our Focus: ...
Our view is that NexGen’s stock performance is “macro agnostic” and that is the appeal of this name. With an attractive grade profile and fully funded exploration campaign (C$23 MM in cash), the company has a pipeline of catalysts to drive the stock higher and investors remain exposed to potential macro tailwinds should they occur earlier than we currently forecast.
My comments: I've privately stated this several times... I don't particularly care for the long-term U thesis... I am in NXE because it is one of the best discoveries anywhere and for any mineral. Read-Through (Triple R PEA) For NexGen: We believe NexGen’s Arrow project will evolve into a much different beast, driven by a higher LOM resource grade (>2.0% U3O8 with large areas grading >5% U3O8) and an U/Gonly style of operation. We expect NexGen will scope out a similar-sized or smaller mill ($200 MM capex included in Fission PEA for a 1,000 tpd mill)
at much lower capital intensity.
The U/G-only approach will reduce the cost of water control and surface preparation (Fission’s PEA includes $363 MM for O/P capex including water control).
My comments: What smart posters have been saying on this BB for many months! All truths pass through three stages: First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident! The Global X Uranium ETF (URA-US, not covered) has been buying shares of NXE over the last several weeks. To match the Solactive Uranium Index,
which is its mandate, the ETF needs a 3.7% weighting in NexGen. It is currently at a 0.7% weighting. This indicates that the ETF likely has another 6 MM shares to buy My comments: Hold onto your shares tight!
