John Cabot and Mountain Province

John Cabot and Mountain ProvinceAgain, I bring up "the Matthew" and the sailing of this small ship in 1497 with a crew of 18 with John Cabot as it's Captain. The Matthew sailed in May, 1497 from the English port of Bristol and discovered Newfoundland in June, 1497. If we MPVers made up the crew of 18, how many of us would jump off the ship in rough seas in the North Altlantic because we thought we were about to fall off the end of the Earth. The Matthew discovered Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and New England before returning to England later in 1497. These discoveries led to the development of the vast British North American Empire in the following Centuries. All right, back to the 21st Century. Canada has developed a huge "Diamond Empire" in northern Canada with another diamond mine called Gahcho Kue under development. And some of us are claiming that it is the "end of the World" for Mountain Province. I would not have jumped off the Matthew in 1497, and I am not going to jump off Mountain Province in 2015.
