Notes From Craig Hallum Conferencea) IBC Amsterdam Conference - 300 meetings (they now have capacity to chase down all these leads with offices in France, Germany, London, etc) b) Neulion dominant end-to-end player in live sports - that is where they want to play - own IP across end to end infrastructure (ie. 8 of 8 components vs. competition which have speciality in one or two components) c) Given complexity of live sports - going with Neulion reduces costs vs. in house build, and speed to market. d) Speed to market key for sports rights holders since they pay huge bucks to own content rights for live sports - so they have burning platform to get on as many devices, as quickly as possible, to as many users - to generate revenue - which is why Neulion is so valuable. e) NHL had nothing to do with technology - but media rights. Long and short - they were paid over $1.2 Billion by BAM Tech ($600 M in dollars over 6 years, and $600M worth of equity) so that BAM Tech can own NHL rights....had nothing to do with product of Neulion technology - but a digital rights transaction. f) They are making HUGE dollars on usage fees. Basically - the more people that watch NFL Game Pass, NBA, UFC, etc - in terms of audience size - they get a "bonus"...moreover - as audiences grow for content owners - their COSTS GO DOWN (the toll fee they pay) - overall increasing margins as user base for these properties go up. g) Significant growth projected across all business areas (Div X, Digial Platform, etc)... h) Great balance sheet - no debt - $30M in cash LONG AND SHORT....I wish I bought a whackload more shares today - have a feeling this might pop tomorrow after the conference - NLN fired on all cylinders and explained the context around the loss of NHL in the Q&A Session - and confirmed NHL was a drop in the bucket relative to their more diversified revenue base...basically their growth rate will more than offset loss of NHL in a few quarters.
