Extremely Challenging sector

Extremely Challenging sectorI have to agree with some of the posters here on oil price. The oil sector needs another leg down and trade below 40 dollars for the next 6 months. This will be extremely healthy for the sector and get rid of all the deadweight. That being said, I think LTS would survive as debt convenants are not due for a couple of years. The problem being is if oil trades at 45-50, this will keep all the marginal companies still afloat and cause the price to stay down longer and fester in this range. I definitely don't want to see a resemblance of oil with the mining sector which has been struggling significantly since 2011, and no evidence of a turnaround any time soon. Oil could be the same, if this "copycats" the mining sector.
