HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:Name change

RE:Name changeSomething tells me it going to be more than a simple name change.

There is lots going on in the background, I am hopefull that the new process of Quartz ore directly to metal Silicon is going to be in our very big future, this would completely change the league this company will be playing in, in an unbelivable way.
Such a process would turn the silicon industry totaly on its head, and Solar energy would become much more poular than anything else in the green energy front, puting this little company in a very different league in my honest opinion.

The value of metal silicon is probably 1000 times the value of the quartz we have, a simple process of removing the O2 from the SiO2 would be a major breakthrough in the very popular re-newable energy industry.
All my personal opinion.
