CGX Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil and gas exploration company. It is focused on the exploration of oil in the Guyana-Suriname Basin and the development of a deep-water port in Berbice, Guyana. The Company, through one of its subsidiaries, holds an interest in a Petroleum Prospecting Licence (PPL) and related Petroleum Agreement (PA) on the Corentyne block in the Guyana Basin, offshore Guyana. The Company, through its subsidiary Grand Canal Industrial Estates, is constructing the Berbice Deep Water Port. This facility, located on the eastern bank of the Berbice River, adjacent to and north of Crab Island in Region 6, Guyana, is being constructed on 30 acres with 400 m of river frontage. Its subsidiaries include CGX Resources Inc., GCIE Holdings Limited and CGX Energy Management Corp. It is the operator of the Corentyne block and holds a 27.48% working interest. Its Wei-1 exploration well is located west of the Kawa-1 discovery in the northern region of the Corentyne block.

Now CGX INSIDERI'm not sure if this has been mentioned but Monica DeGreiff was listed as another insider for CGX as of Aug 17, 2015.  There was a news release on Aug 26 by Pacific that Arata had retired and she had joined.  So this is another Pacific member getting things lined up in Cgx's court.

TORONTOAug. 26, 2015 /CNW/ - Pacific Exploration & Production Corp. (TSX: PRE) (BVC: PREC) announced today the retirement of Mr. Jos Francisco Arata as President and director of the Company effective immediately. 

 

Ronald Pantin, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, commented: "On behalf of the Company and the Board of Directors, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jos Francisco, who throughout the history of the Company has been a key member of management and one of its driving forces. We will surely miss his contributions and service to the Company and truly wish him all the best in his future endeavours." 

 

Mr. Ronald Pantin will be taking over the responsibilities of President in addition to his present responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer.

I would like to thank him for his leadership in growing the business and wish him continued success." 

 

The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Mnica De Greiff as an independent director to the Board of Directors effective immediately and subject to applicable regulatory approvals. Ms. De Greiff is an attorney specializing in administrative law and has more than twenty years of experience.  She is currently the president of the Bogot Chamber of Commerce and her past experience includes being President of Grupo Energa de Bogot (Energy Group of Bogota) and Vice-President, Legal and Public Affairs of Shell Colombia. Ms. De Greiff has also had a distinguished political career in Colombia, having served as Minister of Mines and Energy and later serving as Minister of Justice.

 

"We would like to welcome Mnica to the Board of Directors and look forward to benefiting from her vision and experience. We look forward to the new perspective she brings to the Company," said Serafino Iacono, Co-Chairman of the Company.
