RE:Graphite Industry Update: Newcomers Outshine The Old Guard
RE:Graphite Industry Update: Newcomers Outshine The Old GuardHey guys,
Ben Kramer-Miller of Seeking Alpha mentions in the comments section of his article that in his opinion Alabama Graphite Corporation is nothing more than another pump and dump scam.
According to Ben Kramer-Miller, the in-ground graphene nonsense was concocted gobbledygook designed by Alabama Graphite Corporation to take advantage of naive investors who wanted to own graphene.
People who invest in ALP are going to see their money pissed away in high salaries, fancy offices, first class travel all over the world, and plenty of marketing, while maybe 30% goes to the production of a worthless PEA and eventually a FS.

According to Ben Kramer-Miller:
The bottom line with ALP is that I don't want to put my money on that management team. I didn't like being lied to by Baxter and Roda didn't impress me the one time I spoke with him. You say this is one aspect but at this stage it is the only aspect. Remember a junior project is only worth what the management says it is worth. That means transparency and no nonsense must come before everything.
I don't see how you can brush aside this in-ground graphene nonsense as simple promotion. We expect people to smooth over bumps in the road or to embellish certain news events, but this was concocted gobbledygook designed to take advantage of naive investors who wanted to own graphene.
People who invest in ALP are going to see their money pissed away in high salaries, fancy offices, first class travel all over the world, and plenty of marketing, while maybe 30% goes to the production of a worthless PEA and eventually a FS. Even if they have some sort of "special" graphite (which is the line any company has used that doesn't have a real marketing plan in place) what sets them apart from, say Focus other than the fact that they are earlier in their development? Why anybody wants to mine graphite given the excess capacity in China is beyond me anyway. Granted there are exceptions like Nouveau Monde, which has a specific customer in mind meaning the value-chain logistics are all worked out for developing a deposit near Lac-des-Iles.
You combine that with the fact that this company is valued at 2-4X more than the smaller, more tactical companies that are developing businesses, not mines, and I see very little justification for owning the stock.
