Sailor - Obviously he wasn't serious. Whether it was an attempt at humour or not is uncertain.
For what it's worth, I think that the average "active" user probably rents around 10 movies per year (some more, some less). Our family probably rents around 1 per month on average (although like I said in an earlier post this month we will rent both Avengers and Jurassic World).
At the end of the day SIO needs to increase users and movies available to rent. If they can do that they will be successful.
