Did the company have to be so dramatic about job loss?

Did the company have to be so dramatic about job loss?I'm a happy FM shareholder but I'm worried that the massive job loss planned at FM will be counter productive over the medium to long term.

I know this is crisis time within management but are the job losses at this magnitude warranted?

I'm bullish on FM but the recent job loses makes me look elsewhere for captains that have a steady hand on the boat in any sea condition.  Loosing too many crew members too fast is never a good thing.
