I visited 5 big stores today, as I thought except for two salesmen nobody had a clue about 3DGo or streaming movies in 3D.
Meaning nothing changed in the last few months from my last excursion.
What I found out or confirmed is that Samsung dropped 3D in many models but when it comes to 3D glasses (remember they are the active ones) some expensive models don`t supply any and some models only come with a pair.
That means that when you spend 2 to 5 thousand dollars on a model you may get or may not get any glasses, but the funny thing is that the stores that sell you the TVs dont sell active glasses or passive for that matter (at least pasive ones you can keep the ones at the cinema or raid the bin on exit).
You have to go on line and buy them and they go anywhere between $25 - $30 to $ 150.00 or up.
So if you don`t get any you`ll have to fork a good chunk of money to have 6-8 glasses to make it a good movie night, unexpected and very expensive.
For someone that wants to push 3D or be a good wife to 3DGo it does not help at all.
Maybe Samsung will sell lots of 3D TVs but if they want to help should do something about glasses.
LG still the horse to exploit, Samsung will be a spoiled brat.
Cheers
