Supersnacks

Supersnacks
An interesting quote from an article I read in the financial post:

Becky Smollett, president of Cambridge, Ont.-based From Farm to Table, was at Grocery Innovations Canada marketing her new product Pop Fusion — a Smart-Food style of snack popcorn coated with a fine layer of dehydrated vegetables and fruit.

At 100 calories for a 21 g snack bag, the snack is low in fat and salt but was prominently displaying its benefits — rich in vitamins A, C, D and E.

New technologiesallow us to maintain nutrients when we dehydrate fruits and vegetables,” said Smollett. Previously dehydration techniques would rob the food of a third of its nutrients, she said.
