The Way I see it

The Way I see itIt is really hard to determine, how long this "funk" will last in the oil sector. You can read many articles on the internet and basically becomes a waste of time as your mind centers on whether your pro or con oil. Also, this could last a few years with oil below 55 dollars as technology development has advanced incredibly over the last few years. I recall some downturns in the forestry industry (my experience) where it lasted awhile, and it strictly came down to price of the product whether it was OSB or lumber for instance. If the price trended up, stocks went up or were stagnant for year(s). Anyways, have not bought any oil stock in over a year, or resource stock for that matter, and think we actually need to "see" 55-60 dollar oil before I think I step up to the plate based on my experiences. This downtrend could last awhile and have that "yucky" L-shaped graph which becomes extremely frustrating. No-one can ever time the bottom correctly, but I would rather pay higher on the upside then have dead money which "can happen" for a few years i.e. 1998-2002. Just a bad "funk" that could be miserable for awhile.
