Who cares about the Maple Group????? I'm looking forward to when the RBC Group start up their trading exchange. There will be alot of companies who will probably list on this new exchange.
And, if I read between the lines, a majority of the TMX Venture companies will probably delist from the TMX (because they can't afford it any longer), and switch over to the new RBC (Canadian Commodity Stock Exchange).
A note of interest. Has anyone ever noticed how the TMX Index parallels the DOW Index?????
When the S&P came in to re-adjust the TMX companies index, they did so based on their '
servers', who also have interests in the NYSE.
Canada is a commodity driven country and not a complex industrial country like the US. Australia is another commodity driven country, but they didn't give in to the pressures by the US, like some people in Canada did.
The TMX/Maple Group has no time for junior mining companies. These are the same companies that 'made' Canada, years ago, and will probably do so for many years to come. However, tell that to the influential people at the TMX Group today, who think they are contributing to the well being of Canada. Give us all a break guys. You know who you are!!!!!!
The Venture Exchange will survive, but hopefully, it won't be with the TMX!!
