The longer this drags on, the more likely it is bad nwes.

Could be en environmental things as there were clauses in the agreement re the size of this.  Or perhaps business was so bad in the quarter (causing the payment to c=sharholders to be reduced) that the buyer is claiming a Material Adverse Effect, but this is very hard to prove.

One thing that drives me crazy about Canadian companies is how you can have a stock halted for half a day (and still continuing) and no news is announced.  At least they should press release the issue.  I've never seen this happen to a US stock, but frequently in Canada.
