Bombardier's Biggest Problem : Hubris

They won't accept a huge premium from the chinese. They won't pay out a dividend because of a self inlicted cash drain. They won't change ownership structure. They think they can compete against perhaps the toughest coporate/govt competitor in the world (Boeing) and win.
