Intriguingly - the short interest is rising

One might expect that the share price's recent rise reflects short covering. 

However, the latest Nasdaq data  (link below) shows that the number of shorted shares has increased by almost 700,000.
 
This suggests short selling to try and keep the share price down. Notably, the rise in price is not due to RJ or JP buying substantial number of additional shares (see Canadian Insider - their recent purchases have been relatively small). Perhaps others are building positions?
