RE:Crosstrading=short selling...Crosstrades don't always mean short sales.  For instance, if I wanted to buy 200,000 of LSG and I was using, say Dundee, they might first look to fill that order from their own book, perhaps they were part of a financing and have a few million free shares they wouldn't mind cashing in on or another retail account may be willing to sell at that price. They always try to match orders in house which will show as Dundee to Dundee. There's other scenarios also. Not always a short trade at all, but could be, we'll never know!
