RE:What's the benefit to COSThese few months of fighting back the hostile bid will be financially costly to COS and will affect Q4 and Q1 results... The strategy study, extra work of Royal Bank, Kingsdale Shareholder Services are extraordinary add-on work in this extraordinary time ... Some target company even buy back their own shares to compete grabbing the shares with the suitor... Not sure whether COS will do so, but this will need lots of money.. If there is no deal better than 0.25 SU and if SU fails to secure 2/3 votes, COS Mgt will have a daunting challenge to convince existing COS shareholders to shed patience to wait out the oil crisis storm with COS remain as an indept company... If there is another deal but not too attractive, then it will be even harder for COS Mgt to remain as indept company....
