RE:Any marketing geniuses out there?
bgdick, when you are working off of very small amounts of money and look to focus where your resources are best utilized I would say if you had to sacrifice something it would be doing an advertising campaign so that you can continue with your operations. Word of mouth is actually the best bet for the simple reason that regardless of advertising and as you have rightly stated there has to continue to be a growing 3d content offered by studios and media broadcast, as well as the company continuing to garner business to business contracts with studios they already have contracts with (renewals) as well as spearhead new business. Educating people is a real good idea and that can be done through word of mouth as well as by creating awareness of the Sensio site and 3dgo which needs time to diffuse. But I agree with past posters that the company should come up with a way for the app to be backwards compatible as well as fully utilizable on other devices like smart phones, gaming systems etc--grow the market, however, that would also require time, expertise and money. So again, if I were to allocate dollars I would sacrifice the advertising, put the money on the day to day operations and then go after the r&d aspect to be able to increase the offering (cross platforms and backwards compatibility with older t.v.s) All of this is really an exercise in patience and time. Remember to keep in mind that this business is also cyclical in nature with more earnings most likely coming during the Christmas season and will likely slow during the summer. In any case, there will continue to be growing pains and the s/p without a doubt will continue to fluctuate. Nevertheless, as long as the company continues to grow, earn more business things will keep moving in an upward trajectory--progressively. glta
