RE:RE:What price the COS want??forecast123 wrote: Shambano1 - Your question should be "How much will 2/3 COS shareholders be willing to sell ?"..About 25% are mutual funds, institutions and big ticket investors. These will NOT be swayed by Williams fear or bluff tactics. Seymour will probably answer with either absolutely no sale or 17 C$+ Others may probably answer 13 to 16 C$.. As for the 75% individual shareholders, their answer may vary from 11 to 15 C$ and some maybe swayed by Williams' scare or bluff tactics. Nov 5 SU closed at 39.33 C$...0.32 (Apr friendly bid) of this will be 12.59 C$ while 0.25 (hostile bid) will be 9.83 C$ (less than COS closing at 10 C$).. I think it will be stupid to consider anything less than 0.35 SU (13.77 C$)... My view is it SU is not prepared to offer at least 14 C$ equivalent, they are wasting everybody's time... Even if SU is willing to offer 14 C$ +, we will need to weigh SU offer with the alternative option COS BOD is proposing...
forecast, I'm confused. You state that 25% of share are held by funds, institutions and concentrated holders. Where did you get this figure? Is it accurate? Share the source of your data so readers know that you are providing factual information.
The reason I ask, as of month-end September 2015, 35% of shares outstanding were held by Funds and Institutions alone.
You mention Seymour Schulich at $17. Where did you get that figure? The news paper has quoted him stating that near $20 is close to fair-value.
"Others may probably answer $13 - 16" What others? Who is in this group?
Then you believe 75% of shareholders would accept $11 - 15.
Please share the sources of your findings. I personally believe that you have neglected to share that you are guessing, postulating and opining about the direction of a vote or valuation required for a deal to be agreed upon.
If you have facts, please share the source. If you do not, be sure to say that you are guessing and that there is no fact in your statements.
