Weeding out the good from the bad

Weeding out the good from the bad
Pun very much intended. Going back to Mar of this year, a number of articles came out regarding weed stocks. One in particular, promoted three of them. Two dropped like a rock over the the months. One held up.

I bought NSP and ACB after agonizing over my rule to never get cauth at the top of a spike. Finally pushed the button and got out the next day. Made a few thous. pays the bills for the month.

I notice that out of a dozen I followed. most reacted ( I assume) to the news of the Trudeau win and his stance on legalization.

But some, like EAT that held so much promise by the pundits a while back,  did absolutely nothing.

Could we say that the market has spoken and revealed stocks that will recover and continue and stocks that won't? Unless dramatically good news comes along for those stocks?

Just a newbie askin.
