Equal Attention

Equal AttentionI think it is appropriate to go after the bashers but should it not be equally appropriate to give equal attention to the pumpers? Those that post multiple times a day, 7 days a week until they get their profit, sell and move on to the next stock to do the exact same thing? They use the same words, the same tactics, different day, different stock bullboard. How about those that spam on multiple boards? While their actual statements may not be false it has to be recognized that through their posting they create false expectations for the stock. The reason the stock goes up in value most times has nothing to do with the company itself as 9 times out of 10 once the pump stops the stock drops back down to where it was or lower. After the hype dies down it takes months for investors to develop trust in the share price again through no fault of the company itself.

Everyone knows it happens and it is condoned.

If a company acted as some of the posters on SH and various other internet venues do on a daily basis they would be suspended from trading and mgmt would be in jail. That's because there are rules for publicly traded companies and their officials but these pumpers are OK to do whatever they want and who cares about those who get hurt in the process?

Pumping or bashing, both are harmful and both should be eliminated.

Of course this is just my opinion.
