RE:RE:They are not getting theNo not hired by SU to trash COS.I was the one who thought SU would raise its bid to the .32 first offer. But now SU has stated twice no new offer and now stated twice the threat to pull the bid.
I think both statements are real thinking on SUs part. The bid is low but even that low bid is likely to get pulled.SU can find multiple distressted companies to buy.I fully expect COS shareholders to not tender to SU.That WILL RESULT in a very depressed share price.I sold my COS as the risk is now stacked to favor SU to pull the bid.
Just trying to protect my capital and listen to the words of Williams.
If he raises the bid after repeated warnings not to do so he will lose credibility with SU shareholders. If COS does not tender he pulls the bid and keeps his credibility. What would you do in his shoes if you painted yourself in a corner in public statements not to raise the bid?
Bid higher and look like a fool if your higher bid was still rejected?Or would you pull the bid and then move onto another target?
Williams aready answered that question when he warned COS shareholders he is now very close to walking from the deal.
Barrick Gold Offered $17 for Nova Gold a number of years ago.I thought the offer was a very good one(but don;t think the cOS offer is). But the management of Nova rejected it as too low .Barrick pulled the bid the stock dropped to $4...
If the Offer on COS is pulled it will fall below $6 to relect the crash in oil prices. The risk to own COS is very high
