DFS industry changes

DFS industry changesThere is a lot going on out there these days. Here are two articles I found interesting.

It appears Fanduel is really moving ahead at Draftkings expense. In some ways you can see it makes sense for them to take the sance they have in NY. They want to be on the good side of the AG so that when/if the laws change they are able to really take advantage of it as the number one site. In the event Draftkings does flame out there should be lots of opportunity for FAS to pick up players.

It appears that the NBA is becoming more of a meaningful DFS revenue generator. This story does lay out hurdles the industry faces but what I found really interesting was the mention of FAS and positive cash flow on NBA games. I think there definitiely is room for the smaller sites to carve out meaningful businesses in various sports other than the NFL.
