RE:Quebec Government [Proposed] Drug Reform Legislation

RE:Quebec Government [Proposed] Drug Reform LegislationA very small percentage of Concordia's drug sales come from Canada and a much, much smaller percentage again from a single province.  The effect on Concordia would be negligible, if existent at all, imo.

CJAlberta wrote: The Quebec government has introduced a bill that would open up a bidding system for the manufacture of generic drugs.  Jean Coutu Group tanked yesterday, continues to fall today, and Loblaws who manufactures generic drugs is falling today.  Does anyone have any thoughts on how this may (or may not as the case may be) impact Concordia?  The proposed legislation seems to be hitting consumer staple companies that manufacturers generic drugs at the moment.  My idea is that the drug pricing conversation may be moving to Canada - but it will be a different Canadian story as here in Canada generics often cost more than their brand-name equivalent.  Thanks for all opinions.
