Short-Sellers Who Attacked Valeant are Real FraudstersMichelle Celarier from the
New York Post put out a great article on Andrew Left a couple of weeks ago, pointing out the similarities between his Valeant short and a previous failed attack on Fairfax nine years ago. The only problem with the piece is that she missed a few key players. Just as they’re doing now, Andrew Left, Roddy Boyd, and John Hempton – sound familiar? – all ganged up to beat down the company. Problem is, after all their attacks, like Left’s signature Enron comparison on March 26, 2006, Fairfax has since risen more than four times over, rising from $135 that day to $643.
