RE:RE:it just doesn't make any sense
Yes, Umom, optics matter. This is how Stephen Harper, with 10 years of mostly successful governance of Canada, was able to send himself out the door.  His style and personality had become irritating to many voters, he had defended the wrong people - a few ex-senators etc.,  done some bone-headed and unpopular legislation like Bill C51. See any parallels??  Like LL and our merger?

But he would not hear of a change of party leadership. There were several options. Lisa Raitt, smart and well-informed, well-spoken and experienced, would have been outstanding.

The leader had to have it his way, and the whole cause was lost.

Didn't Hathor have 3 different CEO's before being eventually sold by Mike Gunning?   And for a decent price per lb.   BTW don't call that an error, Dev.  That should be your goal, not an excuse for failure to reach it.  When you say stupid things like that, we the shareholders wonder why you want to limit our, and your own, possible sale price. No wonder we have trouble trusting you. Optics matter.

And your paycheque is out of all proportion to the performance you've put in this year.  Ross and his team are OK at their end.  Where is the added value at your end of the hall?  It doesn't matter though. If you get cut from the team, there's the 3million dollar pillow to land on.  "Sell your shares". Is that the best you can do? If so, it really is time to move over. Optics matter. And maybe to the lenders who've seen enough, too.
